  • Up to 50 hours of counseling services, including private sessions, research, phone, and email consultation.

What's Included

In-depth interviews on college preferences with student and parents, plan for rigorous course choices, review of academic records to-date, preparation of activities résumé, advice on making successful college visits, simulation of college interview, preparation of list of colleges that is uniquely suited to student, advice on meeting deadlines and requirements for specific colleges, major essay writing assistance, advice on making the final choice once acceptances received, and College Pathfinder’s “Coping in College” seminar. Counselor will design personalized SAT/ACT testing schedule, but private test prep is not included in package. Each client also receives access to the College Planner Pro software and a copy of “25 Months Until College.”

 

Silver Pathfinders

An in-depth program designed for Juniors   

  • This program begins in December of junior year.
  • Up to 45 hours of counseling services, including private sessions, research, phone, and email consultation.

What's Included

This is the time for specific pre-planning: confirmation of college preferences with student and parents, review of academic record to-date, advice on course selection, preparation of activities résumé, advice on making successful college visits, practice for college interviews, preparation of list of colleges that is uniquely suited to student, advice on meeting deadlines and requirements for specific colleges, essay writing assistance, advice on making the final choice once acceptances received, and College Pathfinder’s “Coping in College” seminar. Counselor will design personalized SAT/ACT testing schedule, but private test prep is not included in package. Bronze Pathfinders

A condensed program designed for Seniors   

  • This program begins August before senior year.
  • Up to 30 hours of counseling services, including private sessions, research, phone, and email consultation.

What's Included

Time is short, so the following will be condensed into the available meeting times: confirmation of college preferences with student and parent, review of academic records to-date, preparation of activities résumé, advice on making successful college visits, simulation of college interview, preparation of list of colleges that is uniquely suited to student, advice on meeting deadlines and requirements for specific colleges, essay writing assistance, advice on making the final choice once acceptances received, and College Pathfinder’s “Coping in College” seminar. Plan Ahead Package

Hourly packages for early-starters    

  • For families in 7th,8th, and 9th grades, with the foresight to plan ahead.
  • Allows families to get exactly the guidance they need, and not pay for more.
  • Remaining hours rollover to the Gold Pathfinders Package in sophomore year.

What's Included

Starting early is key.  Rigorous class selection and grades in middle school ensures success in high school and beyond. Before sophomore year students will need: assistance planning course choices, review of academic records to-date, preparation of activities résumé, advice on summer plans, application and essay assistance for summer programs, introduction to the college search with ‘College Choice 101’ program, in-depth interviews on college preferences with student and parents. Each client also receives a copy of “25 Months Until College.”
